BEST HEALER MONSTER SETS

Best Healer Monster Sets

Writer: @xGamx
Patch: Update 38 – Necrom

TABLE OF CONTENTS

Welcome to The Best Healer Monster Sets Guide for The Elder Scrolls Online! This guide features monster sets commonly used by Healers. Each monster set is ranked based on function, ease of use, difficulty to farm, and one-piece set bonuses. This Top 10 List is subjective and is based entirely on my experience and testing.

Each monster set includes all the information you could ever need, including which Veteran Dungeon the helmet drops from, which Undaunted Coffer the shoulder drops from, required DLC, and a list of strengths and weaknesses.

It’s important to note that some Dungeons are more difficult for some than others. My opinion on difficulty is based on ease of content mechanics, wipe mechanics, minimum DPS requirements, if there are one-shot abilities, how easy that content is in a coordinated group versus a group finder-made group, etc.

Please read the entire guide and bookmark the page, as the guide will update with each new patch.

JUNE 27 / 2023: – UPDATE 38 – NECROM
• Guide’s release date.

#10: KARGAEDA

Drop Location:
• Helmet: Veteran Coral Aerie
• Shoulder: Undaunted Enclave (Urgarlag Chief-bane)
Obtainable Set Pieces: (Helmets and Shoulders Only)
• Light Armor
• Medium Armor
• Heavy Armor
DLC Required:
• Ascending Tide

Strengths:
• The one-piece set bonus increases your Maximum Magicka and Stamina, improving your sustainability.
• Reduces the cost of Magicka and Stamina abilities for allies in the AOE.
• Slow-moving AOE means allies can benefit from the effects for longer.
• Easy to activate.

Weaknesses:
• Travels linearly, meaning it provides nothing if your group isn’t in front of you.
• The final boss in Veteran Coral Aerie can be tricky for many players.
• 12-second cooldown.

#9: LADY THORN

Drop Location:
• Helmet: Veteran Castle Thorn
• Shoulder: Undaunted Enclave (Urgarlag Chief-bane)
Obtainable Set Pieces: (Helmets and Shoulders Only)
• Light Armor
• Medium Armor
• Heavy Armor
DLC Required:
• Stonethorn

Strengths:
• Allows you to apply the Major Maim debuff to enemies, reducing their damage done by 10%. This  helps group survivability in add and boss fights.
• Provides a synergy to the group.

Weaknesses:
• The one-piece set bonus only increases your Maximum Health which is good but not too valuable for a Healer.
• You must have Overflowing Altar or another skill that costs Health slotted to activate this set
• The effect can occur once every 10 seconds, but an enemy can only be affected with Major Maim every 20 seconds.
• The final boss in Veteran Castle Thorn can be tricky for many players.

#8: NAZARAY

Drop Location:
• Helmet: Veteran Shipwright’s Regret
• Shoulder: Undaunted Enclave (Urgarlag Chief-bane)
Obtainable Set Pieces: (Helmets and Shoulders Only)
• Light Armor
• Medium Armor
• Heavy Armor
DLC Required:
• Ascending Tide

Strengths:
• Increases the duration of all Minor and Major debuffs.
  • Increasing the duration of the Major Vulnerability debuff by up to 25 seconds is huge for Veteran Trial groups.
  • A group with good coordination could utilize the Nunatak monster set more effectively to increase the duration of the Major Brittle debuff by up to 25 seconds.
• Incredibly strong in boss fights.

Weaknesses:
• The one-piece set bonus only increases your Maximum Health which is good but not too valuable for a Healer.
• Not ideal in most ad fights.
• Only affects six enemies.
• It’s best to wait to use your Ultimate until you reach 500.
• Most Main Tanks will already have this equipped.

• Group members in the AOE take 5% less damage from Flame Damage attacks.
• Enemies take 5% more Flame Damage from your group.
• 3-second cooldown.

Weaknesses:
• Loses half of its usability in groups that do not deal much Flame Damage.
• You must have a skill slotted and activated at all times that deals Flame Damage, such as Scalding Rune.
• Veteran Black Drake Villa can be tricky for uncoordinated groups.

• Shoulder: Undaunted Enclave (Urgarlag Chief-bane)

Weaknesses:
• The healing done one-piece set bonus is, unfortunately, quite weak, even for a Healer.

• Targets a random group member.
• The totem remains stationary, so it may be left behind during fights requiring more mobility.
• Small AOE.

• One of the best Healer monster sets for players that are just beginning while still being a strong choice in late-game content.

Weaknesses:
• With only a 1.1-second uptime, it requires you to maintain constant uptimes on your healing abilities.
• The final boss in Veteran Scrivener’s Hall can be tricky for many players.
